Philip V gold Cob Escudo 1731 Mo-F XF45 NGC, Mexico City mint, KM51.2, Cal-Type 110 (Unlisted Date). 16mm/3.3g. A very rare late cob issue of Philip V, struck off-center on the obverse to the benefit of collectors, with an amazing full date that is entirely bold and takes focal prominence on the surfaces. The reverse, somewhat atypically, displays extremely broad doubling of the cross design. With their faint reddish toning accents, the surfaces certainly appear choice for the assigned grade.
