Mexico
Philip V gold Cob 4 Escudos 1713 MXo-J MS63 NGC, Mexico City mint, KM55.1, Cal-233. 26mm/13.4g. Incredibly fresh, adorned in sparkling luster, with a sharp display of the mintmark and assayer as well as a legible date, the '171' being fully visible and the bottom half of the '3' digit showing just before the flan becomes beveled. In addition to being desirable for its superb condition and visible date, highly collectible as a one-year variety as well, with a uniquely stylized cross on the reverse that displays the four ends of the central cross ending in four smaller crosses. Seldom located in a more charming state.
