Philip V gold "Date on Reverse" Cob 8 Escudos 1714 Mo-J MS62 NGC, Mexico City mint, KM57.3, Cal-107, 31mm/27g. A rare and singular type, produced with the date along the reverse legend instead of the standard placement to the left of the upper-left portion of the shield on the obverse. Attractive, this Mint State example possesses perfect centering on the obverse, with the mintmark, assayer and denomination remaining clear. The reverse, slightly misaligned, still shows a full cross, with a strong '17' digits in the date. Seldom available any finer.
