Danzig. August III gold Pattern 6 Groszy (Szostak) 1763 R-E-ΠUNC Details (Filed Rims) PCGS, Danzig mint, KM-Pn27, Fr-unl, H-Cz unl, Kop-7761 (R8), Kam-967, D-S 414a note, Malborku-8625. An exceedingly rare off-metal striking amounting to a 1 1/2 ducat, this attractive pattern is exquisitely lustrous and brilliant, with only some scattered, light hairlines. An alluring golden-orange tone is evident near the peripheries, adding further elegance to this specimen. Its one issue is the filing of the rims, as mentioned by the details designation, though this does not impact the visual experience. No other examples of this type were able to be located by this cataloger save for its scattered citations in the references. Of the highest rarity and importance, and likely to go well above our estimate levels.
