Carol I silver Obverse Trial Pattern 5 Lei ND (1906) MS63 NGC, Brussels mint, cf. KM-Pn110, Stamb-059-1.1. By A. Michaux. A rather scarce trial striking. Pleasing matte surfaces, with an enchanting steel gray tone, this piece is exceptionally choice and important. Compare to a similar example, an NGC PR63 Matte, which realized a hammer of $1,800 in our 2018 NYINC auction (sale 3061, lot 31278).
