Ferdinand I gold 100 Lei 1922 (1928/9) MS62 PCGS, London mint, KMX-M4, Fr-9, Stamb-085. A very scarce and highly demanded type, struck posthumously in 1928 and 1929 to celebrate the king's 5th anniversary as king in 1927. Better than most, the surfaces of this example showcase impressive luster and an above-average strike. Few marks in the fields also contribute to the premium appearance, with a few blended marks on Ferdinand's bust contributing to the grade. Worthy of attention from the collector with strong interest in 20th century gold type.
