Like the half-sovereign of the same type we are also offering, from the original 655 produced this proof is tied for the highest certified example across NGC and PCGS; and it takes but a glance to see why. The portrait of George V is so sharply-struck that it appears cameo-worthy, its depth casting shadows across the entirely smooth and pristine mirror fields behind it, the entire piece with a gorgeous and unusual honey-gold color.
