Nobel Committee Royal Academy of Sciences gold Medal (1979) MS67 NGC, 26.5mm. 20g (23 K). Awarded annually to five members of the Physics and Chemistry prize selection committees, and easily the finest example which we've encountered. Almost pristine, with no marks visible and the only variation being a light spot of coppery tone over ALFR· NOBEL. The far right hallmark on the back reads "E10", which helps to determine the date of issue. The winner of the 1979 Nobel Prize for Chemistry was Herbert Charles Brown, an English-born American chemist, for his work with organoboranes.
