ASIA MINOR. Uncertain city. Ca. 200-180 BC. AR/AE fourrée tetradrachm (15.20 gm). NGC MS 5/5 - 4/5. Ancient forgery in the name and types of Alexander III the Great of Macedon. Head of Heracles right, wearing lion skin headdress / Zeus enthroned left holding eagle and scepter, no symbols or letters. Cf. Price 2982 for an "official" issue of uncertain mint with no symbols. Struck in high relief on a broad flan, small breaks along obverse lower edge reveal copper core.
