Charles II 2 Pence ND (1660-62) AU58 PCGS, Tower mint (crown mm), Third Hammered Issue, KM401, S-3326. Rarely are Charles II 2 pence encountered in such superb condition as is the present piece--with remarkably crisp legends and devices highlighted by splashes of golden and sky blue toning, a properly round flan, and full die polish lines running across obverse and reverse fields to attest to its pristine quality. Perhaps a bit conservatively graded, PCGS records only 2 pieces in a higher state of preservation.
