KINGS of MACEDON. temp. Antigonos I Monophthalmos – Lysimachos. Circa 310-290 BC. AR Tetradrachm (27.5mm, 16.91 g, 11h). In the name and types of Alexander III. Uncertain mint in western Asia Minor. Head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin / Zeus Aëtophoros seated left; kuathos/ladle in left field. Price –; Seleucus I Hoard 1005 = CNG 102, lot 238 = CNG 84, lot 297 (same obv. die). Near EF, rough surfaces. Extremely rare, one of two known.
