LYDIA, Nysa. Circa 85/4-62/1 BC. AR Didrachm (19mm, 5.91 g, 12h). Cistophoric standard. Dated CY 12 (circa 74/3 BC). Lion's skin draped over club; all within wreath / Grape bunch on vine; M-O above; to left, IB (date) above NYΣA; to right, Dionysos standing facing, holding thyrsos and mask of Silenos. Unpublished in the standard references, but see Metcalf 18-22 for the corresponding series of tetradrachms. Near VF, toned, flan crack.
