PHOENICIA, Berytus. Elagabalus. AD 218-222. Æ (30.5mm, 18.92 g, 5h). Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / Astarte standing facing, left foot on prow of galley right, holding trident and resting hand on raised knee; to right, Nike standing left on cippus; all within tetrastyle temple with annulet in pediment, akroteria on roof; below, two genii on dolphins facing central stairway. BMC 175; AUB 101; SNG Copenhagen 114 (same obverse die). Good VF, dark brown patina with touches of green and red. Attractive.
