Michael VIII Palaeologus. 1261-1282. Æ Trachy (23.6mm, 2.43 g, 6h). Constantinople mint. Theotokos (Virgin Mary), orans, standing facing slightly left / Michael, holding cross-tipped scepter, and St. George, standing facing, holding labarum between them. DOC 64-65; PCPC 25; SB 2264. Good VF, dark green and brown surfaces.
