Seleukid Kings. Antiochos VIII Epiphanes (Grypos), 121/0-97/6 BC. (28 mm, 16.37 g, 12 h), Sidon, year 196 = 117/116. Diademed head of Antiochos VIII to right; around, fillet border. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ / ΑΝΤΙΟΧΟΥ - ΕΠΙΦΑΝΟΥΣ Zeus Ouranios standing left, draped to the waist, holding Nike in his outstretched right hand and long scepter with his left; in field to left, ΣΙΔΩ / ΙΕΡ / ΑΣ above monogram; in exergue, (koppa)?Ρ; all within laurel wreath. SC 2330.1. SNG Spaer 2575-2576. Some dark deposits on the reverse, otherwise, about extremely fine.
