Republic 8 Reales 1840 Ca-RG VF - Tooled Date, Chihuahua mint, KM377.2, DP-Ca11. Die style of 1840, medal axis, one dot after date. Above average details considering the obvious circulation, subtle turquoise tones, and the tooling on the date does little to detract from the general desirability of this very rare type. A Dunigan and Parker plate coin and much desired as they consider it "by far the rarest date of the 1840s (8 Reales).
