Postumus, Romano-Gallic Emperor, 260-269. 'Double Sestertius' (Orichalcum, 28 mm, 9.33 g, 3 h), a contemporary imitation from an irregular mint. IMP POSTVMVS P F AVG Radiate, draped and cuirassed bust of Postumus to right. Rev. MONETA AVG Moneta standing front, head to left, holding scales in her right hand and cornucopiae with her left. Bastien, Postume, 375a (same dies). A curious contemporary imitation of amusing style, overstruck on an earlier issue and with a superb green patina. Minor cleaning marks, otherwise, about extremely fine.
