Constantius I, as Caesar, 293-305. Argenteus (Silver, 20 mm, 3.36 g, 12 h), Nicomedia, 295-296. CONSTANTI-VS CAESAR Laureate head of Constantius I to right. Rev. PROVIDEN-TIA AVGG / SMNΓ Campgate with four turrets, open doors and star above gate. RIC -, cf. 24 (PROVIDENTIAE). Well struck and clear and with an unpublished legend variety (an engraver's error?). Nearly extremely fine.
