MACEDON, Chalkidian League. Circa 383/2 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 27 mm, 14.34 g, 9 h), Olynthos. Laureate head of Apollo to right. Rev. XAΛ-KIΔ-EΩN Kithara with seven strings; all within very shallow incuse square. Robinson & Clement Group H, 24 (A20/P21). SNG Lockett 1307 (same dies). A beautifully toned example struck on a broad flan and with an excellent pedigree. Very light deposits on the reverse, otherwise, about extremely fine.
