HANOVER. George III. 1760-1820. AR Pattern Sixpence (22.5mm, 3.77 g, 12h). Second coinage. Tower (London) mint; dies by Lewis Pingo. Dated 1787. Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / Cruciform coats-of-arms around Garter star; crowns in quarters; no semée of hearts in Hanover arms. Eimer, Pingo 86 note; Selig –; ESC 1640A; Bull 2213; cf. SCBC 3748. EF, toned, hairlines on obverse. Very rare.
