SICILY, Syracuse. Second Democracy. 466-405 BC. AR Tetradrachm (24mm, 17.66 g, 6h). Struck circa 466-460 BC. Charioteer driving quadriga right; above, Nike flying right, crowning horses; in exergue, ketos right / Diademed head of Arethousa right; four dolphins around. Boehringer Series XIVa, 483 (V257/R346); HGC 2, 1311; Bement 466; Hunterian 21; Jameson 760; McClean 2653; Pozzi 575 (all from the same dies). Good VF, toned, slightly off center on obverse, minor flan flaw on reverse. Struck on a broad flan.
