ARAB-SASANIAN: Anonymous, AE fals or pashiz (3.40g), Kirman, AH95, A-45.1, unpublished type, with Pahlavi text on obverse (perhaps Pahlavi translation of the Muslim kalima), Arab reverse: bism Allah / darb kirman / sana khams / wa tis'in, historically important and unique, Very Good to Fine, RRRR. This is the first known Arab-Sasanian copper coin of the mint of Kirman, dated AH95 within the caliphal reign al-Walid I, written out in words in Arabic. No standard Umayyad copper coins are known from Kirman or any of its subordinate mints, though most silver dirhams of the Kirman mint are common.
