UNITED STATES:1904, nickel-plated brass medal, H&K-323a (on NGC holder), NGC graded MS62, "So-Called Dollar", Louisiana Purchase Exposition, MALLEABLE NICKEL FIRST PRODUCED IN 1865 BY. / JOSEPH WHARTON Sc. D., L.L.D. around bust of same // AMERICAN MALLEABLE NICKEL at top, INTERNATIONAL / NICKEL COMPANY / 1904 at center, ST. LOUIS EXPOSITION below, RR. This piece may possibly be made of nickel-plated brass, as the surface and color of this piece looks different than the HK-323 piece in this auction. This piece is decidedly not brass, and in a check of the NGC Census and CoinArchives, no brass pieces have been certified or traded.

Estimate: 125-175 USD
