AMIRS OF MULTAN: uncertain, early 11th century, AR damma (0.35g), [Multan], ND, A-1506N, very stylized calligraphy, comparable to the late versions of Ahmad (A-1502), but the reverse is arranged around a triangle; with the name that appears to be al-Qasim below the obverse, possibly referring to the caliph al-Qa'im bi-amr Allah within the triangle, thus likely a Ghaznavid -related issue circa AH420s-430s; al-Qasim may refer to Ghaznavid Mahmud, whose kunya was Abu'l-Qasim, AU, RRR.
