ARABIA, Southern. Saba'. Late 4th–mid 2nd centuries BC. AR tmrt – Quarter Unit (9mm, 0.93 g, 8h). Imitating Athens. Helmeted head of Athena right; T (in South Arabian; mark of value) on cheek / Owl standing right, head facing; olive spray and crescent to left, R (in South Arabian) to right; all within incuse square. Van Alfen, Studies, SIV.C.6, 304 var. (unlisted dies); Huth, Athenian 18c; CAF 1.4iii1; Huth 249–59 var. (symbol). VF, toned, irregular flan. Very rare issue, only one noted by Van Alfen.
