KINGS of MACEDON. Alexander III 'the Great'. 336-323 BC. AR Tetradrachm (24mm, 17.14 g, 11h). Amphipolis mint. Struck under Antipater, circa 332-326 BC. Head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin / Zeus Aëtophoros seated left; stylis in left field. Price 20; Troxell, Studies, Issue B4. VF, toned, a few marks on reverse. Very rare, Troxell notes six examples (including the five in Pella), one in CoinArchives.
