KINGS of MACEDON. temp. Philip III – Antigonos I Monophthalmos. Circa 323-310 BC. AR Tetradrachm (29mm, 16.42 g, 10h). In the name and types of Alexander III. Uncertain mint in Mesopotamia (Karrhai?). Head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin / Zeus Aëtophoros seated left; in left field, star between two crescents above ΔIO. Price 3787 (Karrhai). VF, lightly toned, minor marks. Very rare, three in Pella, four in CoinArchives, none in ANS photofile.
