Hudson's Bay Company Manitoba, Rupert's Land 5 Shillings Sterling 11.5.1820/15.11. 25, 1820 Ch. # MB10-10-04b-iR. The Hudson's Bay Company is the oldest and largest company in Canadian history. HBC covered nearly 3,000,000 square miles at its height as it was at the forefront of the exploration of northern and western Canada. Paper money reminders of this great company are scarce. This fully signed remainder was signed and dated at both London and York Factory. The latter was their sprawling trading complex located on Hudson Bay.
