Sasanian Kings, Shapur I AV Dinar. Mint I ("Ctesiphon"), Phase Ib, circa AD 244-253. Draped bust right, wearing diadem and mural crown surmounted by a korymbos / Fire-altar flanked by two regal attendants wearing mural crowns surmounted by globes, each holding staff topped by crescent and dot; crescent and pellet on base of altar. Göbl type II; cf. SNS type IIc (no symbol on altar base). 7.15g, 23mm, 3h.
