Arab-Byzantine, Umayyad Caliphate Æ Fals. "Pseudo-Damascus" mint, circa AD 680-700(?). Figure standing facing, holding long cross and with a bird(?) on his wrist; palm(?) in upper left field, globus cruciger in lower left field, uncertain object in lower right field / M with cross above and stylised snakes(?) between the uprights of the letter; legends or monograms in left and right fields, ?ΘA in exergue.
