Russia, oval bronze late-1700s novodel medal, Peter I ("the Great"), 1711, Prut campaign, PCGS SP63. Diakov-40.2. 41x36mm. Obverse with bust of tsar within legend TSAR PYOTR ALEKSEEVICH in Cyrillic letters; reverse with crowned two-headed eagle within legend VSEROSISKI SAMODERZHETS in Cyrillic letters, date 1711 at bottom. Designed by T. Ivanov and issued for the Montenegrins, who fought for the Russians against the Turks in Moldova (Prut Campaign), nice luster and even dark color. PCGS #32529513.
