AEOLIS, Temnos. Circa 188-170 BC. AR Tetradrachm (36mm, 16.75 g, 12h). In the name and types of Alexander III of Macedon. Head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin / Zeus Aëtophoros seated left; in left field, two monograms above oinochoe within vine tendril. Price 1683. VF, toned, minor double strike on obverse, scratch and some roughness on reverse. Rare, three in Pella, three in CoinArchives, none in ANS Photofile, three in the Demetrius I Hoard.
