EASTERN EUROPE, Imitations of Alexander III of Macedon. 2nd-1st centuries BC. AR Tetradrachm (30mm, 16.71 g, 12h). Imitating Arados mint obverse and western Asia Minor reverse. Uncertain mint in the Levant or east. Head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin / Zeus Aëtophoros seated left; in left field, armored warrior advancing left, holding shield and spear. For obverse prototype, cf. Duyrat pp. 39–43, obv. dies D4–D6 and D14–9; for reverse prototype, cf. Price 2829. VF, toned, deposits. Extremely rare.
