Anonymous. 211-208 BC (or later). Æ Quadrans (24.1mm, 9.36 g, 12h). Luceria "L" series. Mint in Luceria. Head of Hercules right, wearing lion's skin headdress; ••• (mark of value) below, L behind / Prow of galley right; ROMA above, ••• (mark of value) below, L to right. Crawford 97/13b; Sydenham –; Type as RBW – (cf. RBW 408 for Cr. 97/13a, variety without L on obverse). Near VF, reddish brown patina with traces of green. Very rare variety with L mintmark behind head.
