Napoleon I. Consulate (1799-1804). Peace of Amiens bronze Medal 1802 MS63 Brown NGC, Bramsen-199, Julius-1057, by J. P. Droz. 40mm. The 'Brown' certification is somewhat of an injustice to this remarkable piece; its reverse exhibits a great deal of its original red luster, whilst the obverse toning is simply sublime. A stunning cobalt-green color washes the flashy surfaces, flecks of magenta floating within, patina of a quality seldom seen on silver, let alone bronze. Truly one for the selective collector, and sure to command particular bidder attention.
