Napoleon I. First Empire (1804-14). Column of the Grande Armée silvered bronze Medal 1805 MS60 NGC, Bramsen-463, Julius-1480, by Andrieu & Brenet. 40mm. Seemingly conservatively graded, the actual wear present extremely light, only mild discoloration and some marks in the field detracting from what is otherwise an exceptionally attractive medal. The engraving of high quality, the column on the reverse extremely faithfully rendered, the actual monument still standing today for comparison.
