Pair of silver Medals: Napoleon I. First Empire (1804-14) Marriage of Napoleon to Marie-Louise of Austria 1810 AU, Bramsen 952/cf. 953, by Andrieu. 32mm. Both of these medals bear the conjoined busts of Napoleon and his young bride, but with slightly different reverses (each of which are blank in the center, presumably to receive an engraved dedication if given as an award), and both unlisted by Bramsen. The first has some even wear and a couple of minor knocks, with an attractive patina; the second is far closer to UNC than it is to AU, bright and reflective with flashy fields showing few detracting marks. A superb pair of appealing silver medals.
