Gupta Dynasty, Samudragupta (335-370 AD), Gold Dinar, "Sceptre" (Standard) type, Obv: king, nimbate standing and holding a royal sceptre (Rajadhanda) adorned with ribbon, Brahmi legend under arm "Samudra" in field right, garuda standard in field left, circular Brahmi legend "Samara sa........jaya ja", Rev: goddess Lakshmi, nimbate sitting on high backed throne, holding cornucopia and noose and feets are resting on a circular mat, two legs of the throne visible and a small line with a dot in the top right field, Brahmi legend "Parakramah" in the right field, tamgha at left field, 7.7g, 20.34mm, (Unlisted type), flan crack, about very fine+, Very Rare.

The important noticeable point is the Noose held by the goddess, it is the combination of an another type, which shows the obverse legend 'Samudra Gupta' under king's arm. Noose held by the Goddess type in this specimen is very rare.
