Turks and Caicos Islands 'Silver Bank' Medallion undated (1971) a modern restrike of the original medal struck in 1687 (originally Eimer 285) unusual in that the obverse shows the conjoined busts of James II and Mary II, struck to commemorate the recovery of treasure from a Spanish wreck found in 1687. Captain William Phipps was under commission from the King and the salvage partially funded by the Duke of Albemarle.
