ATTICA, Athens. Circa 165-42 BC. AR Hemidrachm (15mm, 2.12 g, 12h). New Style coinage. Mene(d)–, Epi(geno)–, and Lys(an)– magistrates. Struck 125/4 BC. Helmeted head of Athena Parthenos right / Owl standing right, head facing, on amphora; magistrates' names across field, serpent-entwined-staff to lower left; all within wreath. Thompson 357d (same dies); HGC 4, 1643. VF, toned, rough surfaces. Very rare.
