IONIA, Miletos. Circa 210-190/70 BC. AR Tetradrachm (35mm, 16.54 g, 12h). In the name and types of Alexander III of Macedon. Head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin / Zeus Aëtophoros seated left; in left field, lion standing left, head right, above MI (civic) monogram; ΛE and ΦΛ monograms vertically to inner right. Marcellesi 43; Price 2193 corr. var. (ΛE monogram, not E; monogram oriented horizontally); Demetrius I Hoard 280 (this coin). VF, toned, minor double strike on reverse. Extremely rare variety, the only example published.
