ISLANDS off THRACE, Samothrace. Circa 500-465 BC. AR Diobol (11mm, 1.18 g). Sphinx seated right, raising forepaw / Quadripartite incuse square. Schwabacher, Fund –; HGC 6, 406 illustration corr. var. (no text, precedes 405; sphinx left). VF, thick find patina, cleaning scratches. Well centered and struck. Extremely rare with sphinx right.
