SELEUKID EMPIRE. Seleukos I Nikator. As satrap, 321-315 BC. AR Tetradrachm (27.7mm, 16.98 g, 12h). In the name and types of Alexander III of Macedon. Babylon II mint. Struck during his second satrapy at Babylon, circa 311-300 BC. Head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin / Zeus Aëtophoros seated left; monogram and anchor in left field, Π below throne. SC C94.5c; Price 3344A; HGC 9, 10g. VF, a few marks and scratches. An interesting attempt on the reverse to remove the anchor symbol.
