SELEUKID EMPIRE. Seleukos I Nikator. 312-281 BC. AR Tetradrachm (26.3mm, 16.96 g, 2h). Alexandrine types struck in the name of Seleukos I. Uncertain mint I in Cappadocia, Eastern Syria, or Northern Mesopotamia. Head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin / Zeus Aëtophoros seated left; monogram in left field and ∆I below throne. SC 50.3; HGC 9, 12b. VF, weakly struck on the obverse, light marks and scratches, recently cleaned.
