SELEUKID EMPIRE. Antiochos I Soter. 281-261 BC. AR Tetradrachm (27.5mm, 16.13 g, 1h). Alexandrine types struck in the name of Seleukos I. Laodikeia mint. Head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin / Zeus Aëtophoros seated left; in left field, dolphin left above monogram, monogram below throne. SC 357.4c; HGC 9, 125b; Houghton, Early, Series III, Group 15 (A17/P1–this coin cited and illustrated on pl. 15, no. 17). VF, toned, edge chip that has been filed, porous and striated surfaces, a few scratches.
