KINGS of MACEDON. Alexander III 'the Great'. 336-323 BC. AR Tetradrachm (25mm, 16.72 g, 9h). Amphipolis mint. Struck under Antipater, circa 325-323/2 BC. Head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin / Zeus Aëtophoros seated left; in left field, Athena Promachos standing right. Price 105; Troxell, Studies, Issue F4. Good VF, toned, encrustation on obverse, overstruck on similar issue.
