AUSTRIA, Salzburg (Erzbistum). Wolf Dietrich von Raitenau. 1587-1612. AR Turmtaler Klippe (41.5x41mm, 29.69 g, 12h). Dated 1592 (in Roman numerals). St. Rudbert, wearing episcopal regalia, seated facing slightly left, holding salt cellar and crozier; episcopal coat-of-arms before / Three-tiered tower set in waves and surmounted by cross, buffeted by winds at sides and hail and rain from storm clouds above. Cf. Bernhart & Roll 1565; Probszt 805; Davenport 8200 (all examples without mount). VF, toned, with suspension loop attached in the past.
