Constantine I (307-337). AE Follis, Siscia mint. Obv. CONSTANTINVS AVG. Bust left, wearing high crested helmet, cuirassed, holding spear across right shoulder and shield on left arm. Rev. VICT LAETAE PRINC PERP. Two Victories standing facing one another, holding shield inscribed VOT/PR, on altar; in exergue, ASIS*. RIC VII 95 (Pl. 13). AE. g. 3.36 mm. 20.50 RRR. Very rare. An outstanding example. Enchanting brown tone with traces of silvering and emerald green deposits. EF.
