Orders, Medals and Decorations, Viceroy Commissioned Officers, India General Service Medal 1908-35, GVR type 2, one clasp, Afghanistan N.W.F. 1919, awarded to Risaldar Zabte Khan of the 1st Lancers, the famous Skinner's Horse or "Yellow Boys", (Risldr. Zabte Khan. 1/Lncrs.), impressed naming, very fine
Risaldar Zabte Khan entered service on 1/8/1894 and was commissioned Jemadar on 2/1/1911, Ressaidar on 11/4/1916 and Risaldar on 21/11/1917. He served in the 1900 Boxer Rebellion in the action at Peitsang and the action at Yangtsan and was awarded the China Medal with Relief Of Pekin clasp. During WWI and immediate post war he was attached to the 19th Lancers, Fane's Horse. He retired sometime before April 1921.
