Ziyanids, Abu Ziyan Muhammad II (AH 796-802/AD 1394-1399) AV Double Dinar (Dobla). Madinat Tilimsan (Tlemcen), NM. Struck in the city of Tlemcen, by order of 'Abd Allah, Muhammad al-ghani billah, amir al-mu'minin, God protect and defend him, in five lines across field inside a double square; Qur'anic legend around the quarters / Religious legend in five lines across field and around in the quarters. Apparently unpublished, for the type cf. Album B516. 4.69g, 31mm, 12h.

Good Fine - Very Fine. Some areas of flat strike, flan flaw (flattened crease?) across lower half of the coin. Extremely Rare, perhaps unique?
